To be fair, I don’t have particularly acne prone skin but I do get breakouts often around my period on my t zone and these pharmacy products have often been a saviour. Acne could be due to various causes which is why it’s important to deal with it accordingly. I’m not a dermatologist and I do not claim that these will work for everyone. Please patch test and do your own research before using these. This video is not a replacement for medical advice

Products in this video are purchased from a local Indian chemist. Some of them may be available online.

1️⃣. Cipla Saslic Wash is a light foamy wash. You’ll like it if you have oily to combination skin that’s prone to breaking out. It’s watery & hydrating and has a pH close to our own facial skin.

2️⃣. Salve Pharmaceuticals 4% Benzoyl Peroxide Face Wash is the only thing that works on my cystic acne. It’s very drying so I use it intermittently on areas where my acne is recurring or deep.

3️⃣. I really like the Ceuticoz Niacinamide serum. But honestly it’s pretty similar to a lot of other retail niaicnamide serums too, which are often cheaper. If you can’t get your hands on this, look for 5% niacinamide serums by brands like @plumgoodness or @thedermacoindia

4️⃣. I have talked about Hyalugel Plus before and this is ideal if your skin hates moisturisers. It’s gel like and gets absorbed in seconds. Personally, I need something on too after this. But I think if your skin is oily, acne prone – you’ll love this!

5️⃣. You all know about Glyco 6 already. It improves acne marks, pigmented spots and marks. Quite potent and I suggest patch testing, using it as a spot treatment a few times a week in the PM and not mixing it with retinol.

6️⃣. IPCA Acne UV Gel is a perfect SPF for acne prone skin. It’s silicone based and gives a primer like blurred effect. No oily, heavy white cast and quite matte on the skin. Comes in SPF 30 and 50 variant, both. This is water resistant and non comedogenic.
