During her education in Santa Barbara, the Mexican traditions and cultural references that shaped Brenda Equihua’s childhood were largely ignored. Now the designer is giving them a loud and colorful voice through her designs, turning traditional taqueria tablecloths into two-piece sets and cobija blankets into luxury coats.
