Stealing Beauty

Lucy, a 19-year-old American, visits a villa on an Italian hilltop in Tuscany to try to find out who her father is.  Could he be the Italian war correspondent who wrote to her mother for 20 years?  The dying English playwright?  The artist who makes sculptures out of tree trunks with a chainsaw?  Lucy knows is that she may have been conceived on that hilltop.  Lucy also hopes to find the Italian boy who kissed her on a visit to Italy four years earlier… and to lose her virginity.  The three men have no idea that they might be Lucy’s father; they – as well as the others in the villa – are attracted by Lucy’s innocence and virginity, which – there being nothing else to talk about – becomes the talk of the town.
